CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT
(CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant is a special industry class that is offered periodically, and is 100 hours in length.  The CNA course consist of units of study dealing with a variety of nursing career opportunities.  The students will learn basic principles dealing with direct bedside nursing care, and will receive clinical experience that will consist of planned laboratory demonstrations as well as supervised practice in the health care setting.  During this course students will meet all the requirements to become a Certified Nurses Aide through the Tennessee Department of Health.  After completing the course students are eligible to take the Nursing Assistant State Test.
